Wayne Peterson
Wayne Peterson served the Auburn Washburn schools 33 years from 1975-2008. After high school, he attended The College of Emporia and earned his BA in 1969. Peterson earned his Master of Science from the Kansas State Teacher's College School of Psychology in 1971. He received his specialist in education at Emporia State's School of Psychology in 1978. He became a nationally certified school psychologist in 1989. While working at AW, Peterson provided services not only to WR High School, but also served the elementary schools, Jr. High, WR Alternative HS, and Tallgrass Learning Center. During Peterson's tenure of 33 years at AW, he also served Washburn University as an adjunct instructor teaching human growth and development and adolescent psychology.
