We are proud to share that Pauline South Intermediate School teacher Carlin Smith was selected as one of just six teacher leaders in Kansas for the Midwest STEM Alliance Teacher Corps. This prestigious opportunity is part of a National Science Foundation–funded initiative aimed at strengthening STEM education in rural elementary schools.
As a member of this elite cohort, Mrs. Smith will collaborate with educators across four states to enhance science instruction and integrate science, mathematics, and English Language Arts in meaningful ways.
Through this program, participants receive ongoing professional development, mentorship, and support over four years, all while helping elevate the teaching profession and improve outcomes for students.
Congratulations, Mrs. Smith! We are so proud to have you representing our district.
In library classes the last two weeks our students got to do a book tasting! They had the opportunity try three different books/genres and could even check them out if they enjoyed it. Don’t forget to keep reading over spring break Panthers!
Pauline South ended 3 quarter with our Interest fair. Students got to pick one of three interest “tracks”- Athletics, Arts and Crafts, and Assorted Interested. Depending on which track they chose our Panthers were able to see/participate in all sorts of activities such as theater, dance, fashion design, soccer, volleyball, candy making, magic, and so much more!
A big shout out to all of our volunteers that spent there day at our building helping create some amazing learning opportunities for all of our students!
