🎃 SENT is hosting its Annual Halloween Costume Collection & Giveaway Event, with a unique addition this year—a Child Mental Wellness Fair! This community-centered event is set to take place on October 12, 2024, at 455 SE Golf Park Blvd, Topeka, KS 66605, from 9:00-11:00 am.

✨ Event Highlights:

👻 Costume Collection & Giveaway: Our team is gathering new and gently used Halloween costumes to ensure every child in our community can experience the joy of dressing up. Costumes will be available for children of all ages, ensuring no one is left out of the festivities.

💚 Child Mental Wellness Fair: This year, we're expanding our event to include a Child Mental Wellness Fair, offering resources, activities, and community support to nurture the mental and emotional well-being of children and their families.

Pauline South Parents Make the Difference! Here are some strategies for boosting reading comprehension, improving children’s attitudes about school, and building responsibility. For more ideas, included is a list with daily activities to do with your child in October!


We love recognizing our students each month! Each month, students have the opportunity to receive an award from Mr. Holman, Mr. Strattan - counselor, Mr. Cavitte - PE, Ms. Neuer - Music/Band, Mrs. Sommer - Art, Ms. Tapia - STEAM, and Mrs. Duncan - Library. Each teacher listed above picks 1 student from each grade level that has done outstanding for them in class or has lived up to our motto of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. That means 21 students are recognized every month! Way to go Panthers!

Chris Holman, principal of Pauline South Intermediate School, was surprised this morning with the "Pillar of the Community Award" from Be Filled of South Topeka. In presenting the award, Deputy Director Jamie Jalil shared, “Chris Holman has been a cornerstone of our community for many years. Through his tireless efforts and continuing care for others, he has made a lasting impact on all of us. Chris Holman has not only been a constant support to his students, staff, and their families, and not only has his work improved the lives of many, but he has also inspired others to take action and contribute to the betterment of the South community."

Mr. Holman has served as the "Proud Principal of Pauline South" for the past 23 years. "His passion and commitment are truly remarkable and he has set a standard for what it means to be a community leader who truly cares," continued Jalil. "We show great gratitude for everything he has always done and continues to do."

In words directed specifically to Mr. Holman, she shared, "Your kindness and love for all those around you does not go unseen. We are all better because of you."

Congratulations, Mr. Holman! We can think of no one more deserving!
