Greetings Panther Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the start of summer. This is a great time for our students and teachers to take a well earned break from the academic rigors of school.

My hope is that our students will be able to soak in and enjoy all that summer has to offer; swimming, biking, hanging out with friends, and more time with family. In addition, I also hope that all of the families in our Pauline South Community have the opportunity to connect with family members and enjoy a slower pace. Whether it is a vacation or exploring new experiences in Topeka, my hope is that the summer will provide that opportunity.

With that being said and the days being longer, my additional hope is that all of the students will keep up with their Reading and Math skills. The Topeka Shawnee County Library Book Mobile will be in the parking lot of the Boys and Girls Club every Monday during the summer from 12:30-3:30. Also, to keep up with their Math skills the students can log into their IXL accounts and take about 15 minutes a day for 3 or 4 days a week and it will help tremendously. If they have forgotten their IXL log in number, please call us at 785-339-4750 and we can get you that information. Lastly, if the time or day doesn't work out for the Book Mobile please email me and if I'm not at Pauline South I will make arrangements to meet you and your child and open up the library for them to check out a couple of books. It would be my pleasure to see any of the students over the summer!

Proud to be a Panther,

Chris Holman
