🏴‍☠️⚓ Kindergarten Math Pirate Day – Measurement Review! ⚓🏴‍☠️

Our little pirates set sail on a day filled with hands-on math adventures! Today we reviewed measurement with a full pirate twist. Students used nonstandard units to measure treasure, compared the lengths of “pirate paths,” and practiced using words like longer, shorter, taller, heavier, and lighter.

We measured gold coins, pirate ships, and used our treasure maps to guide us along the way. The class worked together like a true pirate crew—problem-solving, exploring, and celebrating each discovery.

We loved seeing students, staff, families, and friends come together to run, cheer, and support this fun new tradition. Because of your enthusiasm and participation, we were able to raise support for all of our elementary school PTOs—helping us continue to bring awesome opportunities and experiences to our kids.

🍁 This Past Week in Kindergarten 🍁

Our young authors were hard at work this week! ✏️✨
Students explored how writers build stories by weaving together events, characters, and settings—and learned that many of the books we love are inspired by real-life experiences! 💡📖

To celebrate the season, we read Balloons Over Broadway and dove into the fascinating history of the iconic parade balloons! 🎈🎉
The kids were amazed to discover that balloon puppets started as a creative invention, and they had so much fun exploring how new ideas come to life. 🎨🤩

It’s been a joyful mix of literacy, curiosity, and hands-on discovery as we continue celebrating the spirit of Thanksgiving. 🦃❤️✨
