Auburn-Washburn USD 437
We are proud to celebrate three exceptional individuals from Pauline Central Primary School who were recognized by the Board of Education last night. They are third-grade student Aubree Quiring and staff members Linda Meredith and Izzy Fry.
Aubree Quiring received the 🌟Shining Star Student Award🌟 for being a kind, hardworking, and compassionate role model who carries a smile wherever she goes. Principal Debbie Williams shared, "She exemplifies our school’s values by consistently demonstrating kindness, perseverance, and a positive attitude about learning. She is a role model in the classroom, always eager to help others and put forth her best effort in all she does."
Linda Meredith, known affectionately as "Nurse Meredith," was honored with the 🌟All-Star Staff Award🌟. Much more than a caregiver, she is a calm and compassionate presence who supports students, staff, and families with dedication and heart. Her impact is felt far beyond the clinic. Her simple, caring gestures bring comfort in moments of need, and her kindness and expertise make a lasting difference. As Principal Williams shared, "She reminds us every day that incredible truly happens here!"
Izzy Fry, a dedicated Special Education teacher, was also recognized with the 🌟All-Star Staff Award🌟. With empathy, patience, and belief in every child’s potential, she creates a safe, supportive classroom where students learn to thrive emotionally and academically. Principal Williams noted, "Through thoughtful strategies, personalized support, and consistent encouragement, Ms. Fry empowers students to regulate their emotions, build positive relationships, and find success both in and out of the classroom."
Please join us in congratulating Aubree, Nurse Meredith, and Ms. Fry – three shining examples of the heart, dedication, and excellence that make Pauline Central such a special place to learn and grow!

It’s time to come together for a great cause! This week, Pauline Central is hosting our Canned Food Drive to support the BE FILLED Food Pantry.
We’re asking all families to send canned or non-perishable food items with your students. When they arrive at school, students can ask their teachers where to place the items.

Let’s show our community spirit and help stock the shelves at BE FILLED! Every item counts — thank you for your support!!
Sweet Victory: Pie in the Face for a Great Cause!
Our students took fundraising to the next level in the Kids American Heart Challenge, and their hard work paid off in the most hilarious way! The top donors had the ultimate reward—throwing a pie in Mr. Estrada & Mr. Glenn’s faces!
Laughter filled the playground as our brave (and slightly nervous) teachers stood ready, knowing what was coming. With excitement and a little bit of messy fun, these students launched their whipped cream masterpieces, celebrating their incredible efforts in raising funds for heart health awareness.
We’re so proud of our students for stepping up to support such an important cause. Their dedication and generosity will help make a difference in the lives of those affected by heart disease. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and—of course—to Mr. Estrada & Mr. Glenn for being such great sports!
Who’s ready to do it again next year?

That’s a Wrap on Spirit Week!
What an amazing Spirit Week we had! From cozy Pajama Day to silly Wacky Hair Day, our students showed incredible creativity and school spirit all week long.
We loved seeing everyone twinning with their friends on Twin Day, and Stuffy Day was extra special with all the cuddly companions joining us in class. Wacky Hair Day brought some of the wildest, most colorful hairstyles ever, and Pajama Day was the perfect way to start the week feeling comfy and relaxed.
Thank you to all our students, teachers, and families for making this Spirit Week so much fun. We can’t wait to do it again next year! Keep showing that school spirit every day!

The Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library presented their program “Dinosaurs Biggest to Littlest” to our 2nd grade students!
How big were the dinosaurs really? How do fossils form and what do they tell us about these giant and not so giant animals? Our Jaguars had fun measuring and comparing sizes and students got to design their own dinosaurs. 🦕 🦖
