Last week, several individuals from our Early Childhood Education program were recognized by the Board of Education for their contributions and impact! Please join us in celebrating the following awardees:
🌟 Addie Heffren brings joy, imagination, and heart to the classroom each day. She is a friend to many, with her vibrant personality, love of dramatic play, and caring nature making her a treasured part of the classroom community. "Much of Addie's growth has been supported by the strong involvement of her parents, who are active partners in both her education and our early childhood program," said Early Childhood Director Loralea Hubert. We are proud to recognize her with the Shining Star Student Award.

Girls entering grades 3–9, come join us on the field and sharpen your skills at the Future Blues 2025 Softball Skills Camp!
📅 Dates: June 16–18
📍 Location: Washburn Rural HS Softball Fields (east of Wanamaker off 58th Street)
💲 Cost: $60 per camper
🕒 Camp Times:
- 8:30–10:00 AM: Girls entering grades 3–6
- 10:30 AM–12:30 PM: Girls entering grades 7–9
Led by Coach Joy Marie Galliart and the Washburn Rural HS softball program, this camp focuses on all aspects of the game:
✔️ Throwing & defensive mechanics
✔️ Hitting & bunting fundamentals
✔️ Base running
✔️ Small group and individual instruction
Campers will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure the best learning experience!

- No metal spikes, gum, or sunflower seeds allowed on the turf
