Two teams of fourth graders from PS participated in the Regional KidWind competition today. Each team built a wind turbine and had the chance to test its power, present a presentation to a panel of judges, compete in an “instant challenge”, and complete a knowledge test.
Results:
Kings of the Wind: Zeke, Marek, Justus, Jayden
Most Improved Pink Joule award,
2nd place overall and will advance to the state competition held in Salina in April
KidWind Til the End: Scarlett, Baylyn, Chloe, Payal
100% on Knowledge Quiz (only team to ever do that in all age divisions)
3rd Place Overall

Just a reminder Parent Teacher conferences are this Wednesday and Thursday. Please reach out to your students teacher if you need a time to meet!

Auburn-Washburn USD 437
Registration for Summer Coding Camp is now live! Camp will be held June 1-4, 2026 at the Washburn Rural High School Innovation Center. Camp is available for Auburn-Washburn students entering grades K-9. Explore computer science concepts, play with robots, learn to code, and much more at summer coding camp!
Cost includes t-shirt, snacks, drinks, and liability insurance. Register by April 30 to receive the early registration rate of $75: https://sites.google.com/usd437.net/cshs/events/summer-camp.

Friendly reminder, drama club tryouts are tomorrow after school from 3:40-5:00pm. Students need to bring their completed and signed forms in the morning to be able to audition in the afternoon. If you have any questions please reach out to our music teacher, Ms. Donaldson.

We will begin this meeting early at 4:45 to start planning for our Spring Carnival and then start our normal meeting at 5:30!
