Farley Elementary

Teams are currently forming for this fun reading program! All students have to do is track minutes reading or listening to books during the months of November and December. The students should have a form if they haven’t signed up yet. If they are interested, but no papers have been seen parents can email Mrs. Kufahl at kufahlin@usd437.net. Please email the student’s name and teacher. Just a guess, but about a 1/3 of Farley students have signed up so far! Gonna be fun! Parents are also welcome to add student’s names to the comments below if privacy isn’t an issue.

Calling all team members!! The form referred to is in the link below if you would like to print it.

Light a Fire For Reading is a new program Mrs. Kufahl is
trying in the library. This is to encourage independent
reading at home.

How It Works
Students are in teams of 10. Some teams have started forming. If you want to participate, but don’t have a team fill out the bottom of this form and return it to Mrs. Kufahl
Each person would read at home and record the minutes spent reading on a recording sheet during the months of November and December. Any reading material is acceptable. Audio books also count as time read. On Wednesdays through November and December students would turn in the record sheets to their team leaders. Team leaders would enter the minutes into a Google Form provided by Mrs. Kufahl.
Teams at the end of each week that had accumulate the most points will receive recognition and rewards.

10/14/19
Would you like to join a team? Return fill out the bottom of this form and return it to Mrs. Kufahl by Friday, October 18th. Mrs. Kufahl will let you know your team as soon as possible. Please be patient this is the first time Mrs. Kufahl has done this library program.

At Farley we want students to have multiple opportunities to be caught being safe, respectful and responsible at school! During September, Farley Foxes had the opportunity to place their tickets in a drawing to go to the Helping Hands Humane Society to read to the animals and tour the facility.

Today was the big day! The students learned, read, and loved!
