Adapted Field Day 2025 was a tremendous success! We are grateful for the gift this event is to our students and their families. It is entirely employee-led and made possible by the dedication of this incredible team: Hailey Deters, Zuleika Reynoso, Michelle Quinn, Rachel Grieves, Anthony Wunder, Lisa Ritchey, Emma Boulton, Rachael Loyd, and Kristi Teal. A heartfelt thank you to them and the businesses who sponsor this joyous event.

Our lost and found has out grown our table space! If you see something that belongs to your student have them stop by and pick it up! We want all items to go to their owner. After school is out, items will be donated to our district community clothes closet.

We had so many FUN visitors today for High-Five Friday!
Washburn University athletes and members of the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office gave us all a reason to SMILE!

What a wonderful way to start the day!

We kicked off our first round of career day activities this week with our fifth and sixth grade students! The sixth graders visited the brand new Washburn Rural Innovation Center, where they toured a variety of career and technical education programs. Our fifth graders had a special visit from four members of the Washburn University men’s basketball team, who shared how their education has shaped their career paths. Both experiences sparked great conversations and helped our students begin thinking about their futures as they get ready for the transition to middle school!

Who said reviewing standards couldn’t be fun! 4th grade teachers put on their annual Glow Day to get ready for Math state assessments! Get Your Glow On!

Our lost and found has grown! Please take a look at the video to see if anything may be your students and have them pick it up!

💚🦊 For those of you who haven’t met her yet, please welcome Carrie Haverty as our new head secretary! We are so excited to have her join our amazing staff! 🎉
