From high-fives and ROAR-worthy students to new spaces that inspire learning and play, there is so much to celebrate at our school! We are grateful for the students, staff, families, community partners, and supporters who help make our school such a special place to be. 🥰

What a great way to start the day! A huge thank-you to members of the Washburn University basketball team for greeting our students with high-fives and helping start their morning with smiles and encouragement! 🏀💙

We also had the opportunity to celebrate some pretty amazing students through our ROAR Awards! 🦁 Students were nominated by others in our building because they noticed them going above and beyond, showing kindness, responsibility, respect, leadership, and the many qualities that make our school community special. We are so proud of each of our ROAR Award recipients!

And our preschoolers are having a blast exploring their new preschool playground! We are so excited to see our youngest learners enjoying this new space and all the opportunities it gives them to play, explore, and grow. ❤️

🎶📚 Learning with a little Dolly! 💛💙

Our 2nd–5th grade Wildcats have been learning all about the incredible Dolly Parton!

✨ In 3rd–5th grade, students explored Dolly’s life and accomplishments through a special presentation and completed a fun learning activity.

📖 In 2nd grade, students are reading A Coat of Many Colors, listening to the song that inspired the story, and putting their learning to work with a fun worksheet!

We love bringing books, music, history, and inspiring people together to make learning meaningful—and maybe even a little more fun! 🐾💛

A special thank you to Ms. Murphy for bringing Dolly Parton into her lessons and creating such a fun and meaningful learning experience for our Wildcats! We appreciate teachers who find creative ways to make learning come alive! 💙💛
