New Family Registration


Online Registration Steps

  1. Start Online Registration for new families.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • Start New Registration - begin a blank registration
    • Return to Saved Registration - return to a partially complete registration
  3. Write down your confirmation number* — used to return to a saved registration
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration

*The Online Registration Kiosk requires you to create an exception for or disable your pop-up blocker in order to begin Online Registration.

After Online Registration

Call your school(s) and schedule a time to complete registration and enrollment. The following documents need to be provided at each of the schools for which you're enrolling students:

  1. Certified copy of birth certificate for each student
  2. Proof of address — one of the following:
    • Real estate contract
    • Lease agreement
    • Latest rent receipt
    • Most recent utility bill (gas, water, electric, etc.) — no phone bills
    • Deposit receipt for gas, electric, or water
  3. Last report card for each student (if available)
  4. Immunization records for each student

The OLR help hotline, district office, and the Washburn Rural High School office will be open during the summer at the following times:

  • Until June 2 and after July 21 — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • June 5 - July 20 — Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

The Washburn Rural Middle School office and elementary school offices will be open until June 9 and after July 23.

Preschool

Preschool families, including those who are returning, can complete OLR but must call the Early Childhood Center at 339-4675 to finalize registration.

Health information

Health forms and immunization requirements are available online at usd437.net/about/health.html. Students wishing to participate in activities or athletics must submit a completed Physical Form prior to participation.

Fee information

Fees may be paid online through your portal account starting July 5 using credit/debit card or bank account. Fees may also be paid at Walk-In Registration or at your child's school.

All students will be assessed a textbook, instructional materials, and technology fee. The fee is $125. Other fees which may be assessed include:

  • Washburn Rural Middle School
    • Activity fee
    • Class fee (for some classes that use extra materials or consumables)
    • PE uniform (7th grade)
  • Washburn Rural High School
    • Activity fee (varies by sport or activity)
    • Parking fee
    • Activity ticket fee
    • Class fee (for some classes that use extra materials or consumables)

Free & reduced meal applications

Starting July 5, applications can be downloaded online at usd437.net or picked up at the district office at 5928 SW 53rd ST.
