Kindergarten egg drop! (A few photos in the comments!)

It’s been a fun and busy day at Auburn Elementary, but we must not forget that it’s…FAMOUS FRIDAY!!

Our students, Henry, Breckston, and David students awere nominated by others in the school for having an amazing school year.

Our staff members, Principal Wells-Martin, Mrs. Grelk, Mrs. Kibbee, and Mrs. Manker were also nominated for having an amazing year!

Extra special shout-out to two of our winners, Mrs. Manker and Mrs. Kibbee: Enjoy retirement and thank you for all of your years of service! You have touched the lives of hundreds (if not thousands) of children. Thank you so much. Auburn Elementary won’t be the same without you!

Auburn Elementary has so much talent!! 😎From dancing 💃, singing 🎤, karate 🥋, telling jokes 🤣, gymnastics 🤸🏾‍♀️ , and instrument players 🎶…all was fantastic and so much fun!! Great job to all who performed at today’s talent show!

A special thanks to Mrs. Bryan for her hard work in coordinating and running the show!

Huge shoutout to Mrs. Harm, Miss Jodi, Mr. Daniel Wells, and Mr. David Wells for setting up and tearing down the stage and decorations!

Also thank you to a handful of 6th graders who also helped with setup. And a special thanks to Liam for being the stage manager!

Mrs. Hibbert and Mrs. McBurney, great job stepping up last minute to help with students before and after their performances!

Our audience was awesome, as well…so encouraging and respectful! 👏

Finally, thank you to our families for encouraging and practicing with the students. They did great!

Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Cunningham’s students did an AMAZING job in the Fairytale program yesterday! Great job, Kindergartners!!

Mrs. Sanders’ class performed beautifully at their program this morning!

📚 Battle of the Books, part 2! 📚

Today, the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders competed against each other until only two teams remained: the Yellow Bananas (6th grade) and the Billy-Bobs (5th grade.)
As defending champs, the Yellow Bananas were in it to win and edged out the Billy-Bobs for the victory.
The Yellow Bananas then battled in the championship round against last week’s winning teacher team…the Blue Koalas. Again, the Yellow Bananas walked away with the win!
Vying for 2nd and 3rd place, the Billy-Bobs took on the Blue Koalas, but the Blue Koalas were able to take the win, earning themselves a 2nd place finish.

🥇1st place: Yellow Bananas (Alex, Colton, Connor, Eli, Lily, and Kenadee)
🥈2nd place: Blue Koalas (Ms. Beverman, Ms. Wells-Martin, Mrs. Richard, Mrs. Boyd, and Mrs. Harrison)
🥉3rd place: Billy-Bobs (Joseph, Camdyn, Logan, Grayson, and Cole)
