Qualifications

Required Certificates/Licenses/Endorsements

  • Kansas Special Education teaching license
  • Kansas Administrative license 
  • Building-level endorsement

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Hold or be eligible for a valid Administrator’s certificate in Special Education for the State of Kansas.
  • A minimum of ten years of successful experience in Special Education, part of which shall have been supervisory or administrative. 

Preferred

  • School psychology experience

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
