2016-2017 Registration

Online Registration is the first step for returning and new students to sign-up to attend an Auburn-Washburn school for the 2016-2017 school year. You can go online any time to register. The registration process will vary slightly, depending on your circumstances. After Online Registration, there may be further steps you need to take. Check out the Registration Flowchart for further clarification.

  1. New Families — you are a new family if none of your children:
    • Attended an Auburn-Washburn school during the previous school year (registering for the upcoming school year)
    • Are currently attending an Auburn-Washburn school (registering for the current school year)
  2. Returning Families — you are a returning family if one or more of your children:
    • Attended an Auburn-Washburn school during the previous school year (registering for the upcoming school year)
    • Are currently attending an Auburn-Washburn school (registering for the current school year)

Walk-in Registration (formerly called enrollment)

Walk-In Registration for returning students in all grade levels will be held on , and at Washburn Rural High School, 5900 SW 61st ST.

If you have submitted Online Registration you DO NOT need to attend Walk-In Registration unless you meet one of the following conditions:

  1. You have a student entering grades 9 through 12. High school students need to have their pictures taken, may speak to their counselor if needed, purchase a parking permit if desired, or order a yearbook if desired.
  2. You have a student entering grades 7 orĀ­8 who wishes to speak to a counselor.
  3. You wish to meet with Transportation, Food Service, a school nurse, drop off physical/medical/other forms, or wish to pay fees in person.

Preschool

Preschool families, including those who are returning, can complete OLR but must call the Early Childhood Center at 339-4675 to finalize registration.

Health information

Health forms and immunization requirements are available online at usd437.net/about/health.html. Students wishing to participate in activities or athletics must submit a completed Physical Form prior to participation.

Fee information

Fees may be paid online through your portal account starting July 1 using credit/debit card or bank account. Fees may also be paid at Walk-In Registration or at your child's school.

All students will be assessed a textbook, instructional materials, and technology fee. The fee is $125. Other fees which may be assessed include:

  • Washburn Rural Middle School
    • Activity fee
    • Class fee (for some classes that use extra materials or consumables)
    • PE uniform (7th grade)
  • Washburn Rural High School
    • Activity fee (varies by sport or activity)
    • Parking fee
    • Activity ticket fee
    • Class fee (for some classes that use extra materials or consumables)

Free & reduced meal applications

Starting July 1, applications can be downloaded online at usd437.net or picked up at the district office at 5928 SW 53rd ST.

The OLR help hotline, district office, and the Washburn Rural High School office will be open during the summer at the following times:

  • Until June 3 and after July 22 — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • June 6 - July 18 — Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

The Washburn Rural Middle School office and elementary school offices will be open until June 10 and after July 24.
