What is Infinite Campus Parent Portal?

Parent Portal is a web site that allows every parent/guardian to log in and view their student's class schedule, grades, attendance, transportation, homework, and more.

Student can also log in to their own Parent Portal account to view their own information.

What Happened to Parent Connect?

For those of you who have been with the district for a few years, you may remember a similar program called Parent Connect.

Auburn-Washburn is now using a student database system called Infinite Campus that allows us to maintain every student throughout their entire educational career with us. This allows us to make a more secure and complete history for every student.

Infinite Campus does not support Parent Connect. Instead it has its own version which is called Parent Portal.

How Do I Get Started?

There are a few steps to getting your Parent Portal account set up:

1. Go to one of the schools you have a student at.
   1. You can also attend Open House at the beginning of the school year.
2. Ask for your Campus Portal Activation Key.
   1. This is a 32 digit key code that will be used one time.
   2. Every Parent, Guardian, and Student has their own key code.
      1. We recommend creating your own account.
   3. You will not be told this key code over the phone.
   4. You may be asked for identification before being given the code.
   5. Only you may get your key code.
   6. Do not send someone (even your spouse or student) in your place.
   7. Once this code has been used once it will not work again.

4. At the top of the screen click on the link next to: If you have been assigned a Campus Portal Activation Key
5. Enter your Campus Portal Activation Key code in the space provided.
   1. You do not need to hit tab. Your cursor will advance automatically.
6. Click on Submit
7. You will now be able to create a User Name and Password.

What If I Forget My Login Information?

1. If you have forgotten your username and/or password click on the Problems Logging In link located on the Parent Portal log in screen.
2. You will be redirected to the Having problems logging into Campus Portal screen.
3. Type in the e-mail address you used when setting up your Parent Portal account.
   1. If you do not remember the e-mail you used to set up your account please contact USD 437. You will be asked a few security questions.
4. Click on the Send Reminder button.
5. An e-mail will be sent to the address you typed in with your username and password.

What If I'm Locked Out Of My Account?

1. After 3 unsuccessful login attempts, your user account will be disabled.
2. You will need to contact USD 437 to reactivate your account.

How Do I View All Of My Students?

Your Campus Portal Activation Key Code gives you access to every student you are considered a guardian of. All of your students will be listed on the left hand side of the screen along with their information links. Simply click on a link for one of your students and you will see their information.

Not All Of My Students Are Showing Up.

If you are missing one or more of your students it is likely the portal access option was not checked in our system. Please contact the school that student is attending. The office staff will be able to help you. Please understand that there are situations that may prevent us from being able to give a person portal access right away.

Do My Students Have An Activation Key Code?

While students do have activation key codes, they will not work since their accounts are created at the district. Students can login as themselves to check assignments, grades, and their lunch account by using their student ID as their user name and their birth date as the password. Birth dates need to be put in as MMDDYY format. For example if your student was born on January 2nd, 2003 their password would be 010203.

I Am An Employee Of USD 437. Why Won't My Activation Key Code Work?

If you are an employee of USD 437 and you have used Infinite Campus (even in a training session) you do not need to use your Key Code to create an account. Your Parent Portal account will use the same User Name and Password as your Infinite Campus account.

This is why we strongly recommend everyone creating their own account for Parent Portal. As an employee, if you give out your Parent Portal login information you are also giving out your Infinite Campus login information along with the sensitive information you have access to.
