This Fall public health officials are focusing their attention on prevention and response to the H1N1 flu and they are
asking schools to join in this effort. While children and adults are encouraged to receive the annual seasonal flu
vaccination, health officials are not recommending that these be given in the school setting. Several medical and
community-based organizations are offering the seasonal vaccine. You may wish to contact your personal physician for direction.
Schools will most likely be working to help get students vaccinated against H1N1 when that begins later this Fall. We will
share information on that when it becomes available.
