Washburn Rural Middle School divides each grade level into teams to help make the transition from elementary school to the secondary
level easier. The school provides a wide range of elective courses to supplement the core classes along with several extracurricular
activities.

WRHS is a closed campus. All doors, except the front entrance, are locked at the start of the school day. All visitors are asked to
enter only through the front entrance doors and check in at the office.
There are security cameras throughout the school both inside and outside. There are also Student Resource Officers (SRO) onsite.
